How do I purchase tracks?

[i] view the individual track page, by clicking the track name. On this page you will find the track information and all you have to do is click the 'add to bag' icon.

[ii] preview a track by cueing it in the eplayer. You can then add it straight to 'my bag' from the eplayer by clicking the shopping trolley icon or track image in the eplayer. The track[s] will then be placed in 'my bag' and can be viewed at any time.

Once you have finished browsing the site, you can proceed to checkout, make the payment and then immediately start downloading your chosen tracks from the 'My Account' section.

How do I listen to track samples?

You can listen to samples of any tracks by clicking the speaker icon[s]. This will immediately cue the track into the eplayer. You can cue multiple tracks and then play and skip through them using the functional eplayer buttons.

Please be aware you will require the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to display the eplayer.

What format are the audio tracks available in?

Tracks found in the Digital Doghouse can be downloaded in either optimum master quality .wav files or the highest quality .mp3 encoded at 320kbps, giving professional DJs the opportunity to purchase the highest quality audio for a flawless performance on large sound systems, whilst offering club music enthusiasts high quality .mp3 files for their portable devices.

You may stipulate which file format you wish to purchase during the checkout process.

What rate are your .mp3 tracks encoded?

All .mp3 tracks are encoded at 320kbps and are encoded at a constant bit rate using the LAME codec [program], widely recognised as the best .mp3 encoder available.

All Digital Doghouse tracks are compatible with all professional digital DJ software and hardware, iPods, Macs, PCs and all MP3 players.

What is the difference between .wav and .mp3 file?

A .wav file is a digital reproduction of an analog waveform [sound] in its optimum master form. An .mp3 is a condition applied to that audio file, which produces smaller file sizes that are easier to transfer from one device to another. By taking out frequencies that are beyond the human hearing range an average .wav files can be compressed into a quality 320kbps .mp3 at approximately one fifth of the file size to that of the optimum master .wav. This kind of reduction has major benefits when transferring files over the Internet and is perfect for your iPod, PC, Mac, car stereo or portable device.

Digital Doghouse always recommends using .wav files on larger sound systems, as opposed to .mp3 files.

Do you charge .wav handling fees?

NO we do not! The price you see in the Digital Doghouse is the price you pay on checkout!
